Hi I'm coming to Lagos in Oct and have an inteview on Victoria Island.
Does anyone know a reasonable priced play to stay in VI or in Lagos that would not be a problem to get back and forth.
I am thinking more in the low range say 40 USD per night or if someone has a room to rent for one week for me and my husband.
Thank you, Carole Ann

Shantalie is right, you're definitely going to struggle to find acceptable accommodation for that price. Your best bet would be to stay in a five-star hotel or serviced apartment. Accommodation in Lagos can be dire to say the least, and the best options are normally the Western hotels, but of course you are going to pay a lot for them!
If you're coming for an interview, it's most likely that the company will sponsor all costs for your accommodation and also arrange it for you, so it's best to speak to the company about this.
All the best, I hope it works out for you!
As you a just in Lagos for a week you can try to book a hotel deal. You can use internet sources like tripadvisor or expedia to get an idea of which hotels are located close to where you need to be for your interview. While most hotels will cost around USD 100 per night, you can also look into the option of hiring a small apartment with self catering facilities.
In terms of transport in Lagos your best option is to use taxis to get around. As you are only there for a week, you probably don't have enough time to get used to public transport. Most companies hiring expats provide their employees with a car and driver (and sometimes a security escort). See the Expat Arrivals Getting Around Lagos page for more information.
Good luck
