Do I need my own car for getting around Lagos or will I get by using the public transport? I keep hearing conflicting things about the local transport in Lagos. Any insights fomr expats who have lived in Lagos?

Hi Wallace, getting around Lagos can be chaotic, to say the least! Public transport, although sometimes quite fast, is not the safest option and is best avoided. The majority of expats in Lagos have their own car, and this normally comes with a driver. If you're moving to Lagos as part of an executive relocation package you should definitely consider negotiating for this as part of your relocation contract - most companies pay for this for their senior staff.
