Salaries for expat teachers working in Nigeria

I've been offered 20,000 pounds/p/a to teach at an international school in Nigeria. The package includes free accomodation but it seems on the low side. Has anyone recently taught / is currently teaching at an international school there?

Hi Rglanser,

Any job offer you are considering must be looked at alongside Nigeria's high cost of living. Even those that are lured over to Nigeria and paid huge somes of money to work in the oil industry may not end up saving much at the end of the month.

Remember that the amount you save will also depend on the tupe of lifestyle you have and what you choose to spend your cash on.
